Straight outta Gaustrasse.
UNHEIMLICH GUT.

A new address on Gaustrasse. But that’s only the surface.
Gaust is a soft serve ice cream bar in Mainz old town, Gaustrasse 13, 55116 Mainz. Premium soft serve in a black waffle cone — bourbon vanilla or vegan, at no extra charge — plus espresso and unconventional drinks. Not a classic ice cream parlour: no scoops.
Soft-serve that starts it all.
Espresso that belongs here.
Cola, rethought.
Matcha in the fourth dimension.
An off menu written nowhere.
A street that has already seen it all.
GAUST represents Mainz.
In every facet.
Subculture. Streetwear. Mainz attitude.
Whatever you seek, you find it on Gaustrasse.

Not a brand. A movement. Those who know, know.
Mainz is home.

The congregation hears first. The rest hears when it’s all gone.

What’s playing.
Real voices from Mainz — straight from Google.

Above Schillerplatz. Level with St. Stephan.
Germany’s steepest tram line.
Get off at Schillerplatz, then two minutes uphill. The tram through Gaustrasse runs Germany’s steepest tram line. You’ll feel it.
From Schillerplatz or St. Stephan’s — three minutes either way. See the Chagall windows first, then soft serve. Full pilgrimage.
Park at the police HQ car park or Schillerplatz — then walk up the hill. The Gautor car park works too, from there you walk down. With a bit of luck you’ll find a spot right on Gaustrasse. Gaustrasse 13 — the black spiral on the building is hard to miss.

Not in the classic sense. Gaust is a soft serve spot, not a traditional scoop ice cream parlour: the focus is soft serve in a black waffle cone, always available vegan too at no extra charge.

Cola slush, pitch black from activated charcoal. Pure, with cherry, vanilla, lemon — or as VOID with espresso. Not of this world.
At Gaust, Gaustrasse 13 in the old town: ceremonial matcha as Blueberry, Peach, Raspberry or Strawberry Matcha — with White or Vegan soft serve if you like, in 250 or 500 ml. More: Matcha Mainz.
At Gaust, Gaustrasse 13 in the old town: açaí, pitaya, matcha and protein bowl — frozen, with granola and toppings of your choice. All four (German): Bowls Mainz.
Açaí, pitaya and matcha: fully vegan with agave instead of honey — the matcha base runs on coconut milk. Just say so when ordering. Only the protein bowl is not vegan — it contains whey.
Written nowhere. Those who know, know.
From €3. Tiers open-ended. It’s all on the wall — and on the menu.
